What to include in a report

The more detail you give us, the faster we can help. Please include:

Device — e.g. iPhone 14, iPhone 15 Pro
iOS version — found in iPhone Settings → General → About
App version — found in GediChat under Settings → Version
What happened — what you expected, what happened instead, and the steps to reproduce it if you can

Frequently asked questions

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. Confirming permanently deletes your account, profile, chats, stories, and photos, and signs you out immediately — this cannot be undone.

How do I report or block someone?

You can block or report someone from their profile, from a chat, or from the map — look for the Block or Report option in the menu on their profile or message. Blocking stops them from starting a new chat or sending you a Hy, wave, or message; reporting sends the details to us for review.

How does presence and location work?

GediChat only shows your location on the map while you're actively "on a Gedi," and only as an approximate area — not your exact coordinates. You can hide your presence at any time with Ghost Mode, or turn off location access entirely in your iPhone's Settings app.

How do I stop using GediChat?

GediChat is available on the App Store for iPhone. To stop using it, delete the app from your device. Deleting the app does not delete your account or data — use Delete account in Settings first if you want that removed too.
